Bio in three lengths
Venues, music writers and your streaming profiles each want a different length. Answer a few questions once, and get a one-line, short and long bio to edit and keep.

We can build the press kit for you.
We write the bios and booking pitch so they sound like you, and gather your photos, credits and links in one place, ready to send. If your bios keep coming out generic, it usually means your story isn't decided yet, and our Artist Brand Workshop decides it with you.

Not sure what you need? A 30-minute call (opens in a new tab) costs $49, and the fee comes off any project you book within 30 days. Flat fees, never a percentage of what you earn.
Why three lengths
A streaming profile has room for a line and a festival application wants a paragraph, while a music writer or a venue's booker wants the full story. Writing a new bio every time is how you end up with five different versions of yourself online. Write all three once, keep them in one place, and update them when something real changes.
What makes a bio work
- Start with the sound. What you are and where you're from, in the first sentence.
- One specific detail. The thing only you could say beats a list of influences.
- What's happening now. The current release or tour gives people a reason to care today.
- Proof, not adjectives. A real show, a real quote, a real number.
Questions
How long should a musician bio be?
Have three: one line for social profiles and introductions, a short paragraph of roughly 40 to 90 words for press kits and listings, and a longer version of a few paragraphs for your website and press.
Should my bio be in first or third person?
Third person for press kits and listings, so writers and venues can quote it. First person works on your own social profiles and newsletter.
What should I leave out of my bio?
Clichés ("music is my life"), long lists of influences, every show you have played, and anything you can't back up. Keep the one detail that only you could say.
Is any of this written by AI?
No. The drafts are put together from your own answers in your browser. Nothing you type is sent anywhere.
