The ToolkitBio and press kit

EPK checklist

An EPK (electronic press kit) is everything a venue, promoter or writer needs to say yes, in one place. Here's what goes in it and what to check before sending.

Not sure what you need? A 30-minute call (opens in a new tab) costs $49, and the fee comes off any project you book within 30 days. Flat fees, never a percentage of what you earn.

What an EPK is for

An electronic press kit lets someone decide about you without a back-and-forth: a venue's booker filling a night, a writer deciding whether to cover a release, a festival choosing its lineup, a brand. They should be able to hear you, see you, check your claims and reach you in a couple of minutes.

One-sheet first, EPK second

In a first email, send the one-sheet and a link. The EPK is where that link goes: the fuller set of photos, bios, videos, press and show details for someone who wants more.

Questions

What's the difference between an EPK and a one-sheet?

A one-sheet is a single page: who you are and why someone should care. The EPK is the full set behind it: photos, bios in several lengths, videos, press and technical details.

Where should my EPK live?

Somewhere you control and can update: a page on your own website or a well-organized shared folder. One link, always current.

Should I include streaming numbers?

Only real numbers that help your case. Bookers can check, so an inflated number costs you more than a small one.
